Dual-Color Optical Recording of Bioelectric Potentials by Polymer Electrochromism

Abstract: Optical recording based on voltage-sensitive fluorescent reporters allows for spatial flexibility of measuring from desired cells, but photobleaching and phototoxicity of the fluorescent labels often limit their sensitivity and recording duration.
