Dual band low loss metamaterial structure at millimetre wave band

Abstract: In this paper, the Dual band modified split square resonator (MSSR) metamaterial (MM) structure was designed and numerically investigated at millimetre wave (mm-Wave) frequency range. The proposed structure operated at two resonance frequencies 28 GHz and 32.54 GHz. The dual-band behaviour of the proposed structure because of the self and mutual coupling between two metallic squares of the structure. Furthermore, The MSRR structure performed very well at both resonance frequencies by providing high transmissio… Show more

“…The types A, B, and C offered losses of 2.75 dB (0.53), 2.3 dB (0.59), and 1.33 dB (0.74) at 11 GHz, respectively. The structure parameters, L and C, can be exploited to alleviate the loss [57], [98][101]. As it is known, the losses of the RLC circuit rely on circuit parameters and the Q-factor.…”

“…The ASSR achieved a low loss of 0.2 dB (0.95) at 3.5 GHz. The single and dual-band low loss at the high-frequency range were studied in [100] and [101], respectively. Chiral Metamaterials (CMM) is an alternative way for achieving a negative refractive index.…”
