Abstract:Highly efficient and chemoselective esterification of alcohols and acylation of aromatic amines with carboxylic acids using imidazolium based protic ionic liquid, 1-butyl-imidazolium trifluoroacetate ([HBIm]TFA) as activator has been realized under organic volatile solvent free condition.
