Abstract: Du corps judiciaire à la crise de la magistrature. Cette contribution à une histoire sociale de la magistrature vise à élaborer un corps d'hypothèses propres à rendre compte de la crise qui, dans les années 60, affecte la magistrature. Lorsque l'évolution des stratégies de reproduction de certaines fractions de la classe dominante se conjugue avec une modification profonde des conditions d'exercice de la profession, le corps se transforme en un champ où s'affrontent «intégristes» et «progressistes».
