Dry sliding wear characteristics of multi-walled carbon nanotubes reinforced Al-Si (LM6) alloy nanocomposites produced by powder metallurgy technique

Abstract: The present work involved the production of Metal Matrix Composites (MMCs) of Aluminium Silicon (Al-Si) alloy reinforced with Multi Walled Carbon Nano Tubes (MWCNTs) using Powder Metallurgy (PM) process. MWCNTs with concentrations of 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1.0 wt% were used.
