Today, sweet corn is considered an important vegetable due to its high sugar content and low starch content. Cluster analysis and variance analysis showed that hybrids had variations in yield indices. GB, DE and GS hybrids had similar performance on indices. SE hybrid that has significant performance on zeaxanthin. Biplot showed that fructose, glucose, sucrose and potassium had stability value on hybrids. All the hybrids had the best performance on fructose, glucose, sucrose and potassium factors. Factor biplot positively correlated with yield indices, including calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, α-Carotene, 9Z-β-Carotene, phosphorus, and β-carotene. On the other hand, there is a positive correlation with fructose, glucose, potassium, lutein, sucrose, β-Cryptoxanthin, and zeaxanthin. So, to evaluate or increase lutein and zeaxanthin, the other parameters like sugar content (fructose, glucose, and sucrose) are important factors and have an effect together. Factor analysis and biplot showed that ME hybrid had a maximum performance on the first factor of yield indices. Also, the second factor of yield indices had a maxi-mum effect on NO hybrids. SE hybrids had maximum performance in zeaxanthin and GS hybrid had maximum performance in zinc, phosphorus, and iron. The dry matter had stability on DB hybrid.

To determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the application of inorganic compound fertilizer NK (18-32) on sweet corn, an experiment was conducted at the experimental garden in Malang, East Java, Indonesia, starting from March to June 2020. The study was arranged in a single-factor RBD with ten treatments and three replications. The treatments were a combination of doses of NK compound fertilizer, a single fertilizer as a comparison, and a control (without fertilizer). Besides control, all treatments were given P fertilizer at a dose of 100 kg/ha. The result showed that doses of 500-750 kg/ha of NK compound fertilizer significantly increased the growth and yield of the sweet corn plant. Each 10 kg dose increase of NK fertilizer will increase the total dry weight of the plant by 1.3055 g and give a yield of 12.57–13.64 tons/ha of fresh cobs. This result is equivalent to the yield of standard N-K single fertilizer (350 kg/ha Urea + 75 kg/ha). The dose of NK compound fertilizer of 125-250 kg/ha was proven to be able to substitute 100% KCl fertilizer (75 kg/ha). The RAE value of 750 kg/ha of NK fertilizer was 105.99 % higher than the standard/comparative single fertilizer. The combination of 125 kg/ha NK fertilizer + 250 kg/ha Urea and 250 kg/ha NK fertilizer + 100 kg/ha Urea, respectively, resulted in a RAE 3.91% and 1.00% higher than the standard fertilizer. Fertilization can improve the quality of sweet corn, namely the level of sweetness increases. NK (18-32) fertilizer doses of 500-750 kg/ha significantly increased the sweetness level of seed corn from 11.17% (without fertilizer) to 15.25-15.25%.

The soil was sandy loam in texture, slightly acidic in reaction (pH 6.8) and low in available N (158.83 kg /ha) and P 2 O 5 (10.82 kg /ha) and medium in available K 2 O (147.67 kg/ha). The randomized complete block design was adopted with three replications for testing 8 treatments. They were consisted of 100% recommended dose of fertilizer (DF) @ 120-60-60 kg of N-P 2 O 5-K 2 O /ha), 100% RDF + bio fertilizer consortia (Azotobactor + Azosporillum + phosphobacter) @15 kg/ha, 50 % recommended dose of nitrogen (RDN) through farm yard manure (FYM) + 50 % RDF + bio fertilizer consortia (BFC) @15 kg/ha, 50 % RDN through vermi compost (VC) + 50% RDF + BFC @15 kg/ha, 75 % RDF + 25 % RDN through FYM, 75 % RDF + 25 % RDN through VC, 75 % RDF + 25 % RDN through FYM + BFC @15 kg/ha and 75 % RDF + 25 % RDN through VC + BFC @15 kg/ha. The yield attributes such as number of cobs/plant, cob length, cob girth and cob weight along with green cob and forage yield were remarkably influenced by integrated nutrient management treatments. Application of 75 % RDF + 25 % RDN (VC) + BFC @15 kg/ha recorded the highest yield attributes and green cob (12.01 t/ha) and fodder (` 16.52 t/ha) yield. It was followed by 100 % RDF + BFC @15 kg/ha producing the green cob and forage yield of 11.67 and 16.17 t/ha, respectively. The maximum net return (Rs. 164206/ ha) and benefit cost ratio (1.92) was obtained with integration of 100 % RFD (120-60-60 kg of N, P 2 O 5 and K 2 O /ha) and BFC (Azotobactobacter + Azosporillum + posphobacter) @15 kg/ha. Highlights m The conjugated use of 75 % RDF + 25 % RDN (VC) + BFC @15 kg/ha markedly increaed the yield attributes and green cob (12.01 t/ha) and fodder (16.52 t/ha) yield followed by 100 % RDF + BFC @15 kg/ha producing the green cob and forage yield of 11.67 and 16.17 t/ha, respectively. m The highest net return (Rs164206/ ha) and benefit cost ratio (1.92) was registered with integration of 100 % RFD (120-60-60 kg of N, P 2 O 5 and K 2 O /ha) and biofertilizer consortia (Azotobactobacter + Azosporillum + posphobacter) @15 kg/ha.
