“…Thermal analyses of the swollen hydrogels were performed to evaluate the thermo‐responsive behavior of HB and HQ and calculate the low critical solution temperature (LCST) as the onset value of the endothermic peak, where intramolecular hydrogen bonds between water and NH‐ group break ( Figure ) . The recorded values (36.4 °C for HB and 37.1 °C for HQ) proved a significant increase of LCST in comparison with NIPAAm‐based hydrogel (LCST about 31 °C) due to the presence of hydrophilic moieties (CHIT and Q residues) in the network.…”
