“…A limited number of drugs have been associated with this phenomenon, including procainamide, hydralazine, isoniazid, and minocycline. 17,18 More recently, however, a new subset of druginduced LE characterized primarily by cutaneous disease and the usual presence of anti-Ro/SSA antibodies has been described. 9,10 The most common drugs associated with this disease are antihypertensive drugs, including hydrochlorothiazide, calcium channel blockers, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, and systemic antifungal agents, including griseofulvin and terbinafine.…”

“…Although INH is known to cause drug-induced lupus (DIL), this was not the case in our patient because she developed symptoms 5 months after the cessation of this drug. The only drug prescribed in this patient that could possibly cause DIL was carbamazepine [16].…”

“…Patients with SCLE often show photosensitivity and positive anti-Ro antibodies, but no histone autoantibodies. 5,7 Drug-induced chronic cutaneous lupus and drug-induced flares of systemic lupus erythematosus caused by 5-FU and FU agents (eg, tegafur and uracil-tegafur) have been reported in a few cases. [8][9][10][11] Interestingly, Adachi et al 12 have recently suggested that the presence of anti-SSA/Ro antibodies might be a risk factor for the development of FU agenteinduced LE-like drug eruptions.…”
