“…Dolasetron also reduced the postoperative MCP consumption (rescue medication) when compared with DHB and placebo, whereas in DHB-treated patients no significantly lower MCP consumption was found when compared with placebo-treated patients. In contrast to the findings presented here, Eberhart et al (2004) reported on a benefit of DHB when compared with dolasetron in patients undergoing vitrectomy. This conflicting result might be interpreted in a way that the effectiveness of antiemetics depends to some degree on the different type of surgery.…”
