Some of the research that is still highly regarded today includes studies on children in institutional care (Langmeier & Matějček, 1975), the psychosocial development of children born from unwanted pregnancies (David et al, 1988), dyslexia (Matějček, 1971), the development of sleep and wakefulness in infancy (Dittrichová, 1966), hypnosis (Hoskovec & Svorad, 1969; Kratochvíl, 1970), factors influencing driving behavior (Štikar et al, 1971), sexual behavior (Kolářský et al, 1978), human–computer interaction (Stríženec, 1978), vocational guidance and counseling (Koščo & Fabián, 1977), and discent psychotherapy (Kondáš, 1973). However, with a few exceptions, the scholarly contributions of Czechoslovak psychologists did not penetrate the international consciousness.…”
