“…No single study primarily addressed the topic of alcohol use and im/migrant laborers defined either by their recent arrival to the United States or their occupations, although four alcohol-focused studies did analyze a subgroup similar to the definition of im/migrant laborers defined in this review (Caetano & Medina-Mora, 1988;Ferguson, Burns, Fiorentino, Williams, & Garcia, 2002;Marin & Posner, 1995;Polednak, 1997). Eight studies were found that measured alcohol use by amount and/or frequency among agricultural workers (Ford, King, Nerenberg, & Rojo, 2001;Grzywacz et al, 2006;Grzywacz, Quandt, Isom, & Arcury, 2007;McCurdy, Samuels, Carroll, Beaumont, & Morrin, 2003;Mines, Mullenax, & Saca, 2001;Villarejo, 2000;Winkleby et al, 2006;Winkleby, Snider, Davis, Jennings, & Ahn, 2003), and an additional study compared agricultural workers with urban day laborers (Ritieni, Quesada, Gilbreath, & Kral, 2007).…”
