Drawbar Performance of Tractor Tyres with Steel Spikes At 100%-Wheel Slip

Abstract: A driving wheel is a part of a tractor, which transmits forces from a tyre to the ground. Therefore, it affects the tractor movement and the pulling of an implement. The paper is aimed at a tractive performance evaluation of special driving wheels based on drawbar pull at 100%-slip. These wheels consist of steel spikes to be applied in the base or working position. The design is characterized by the spikes placed in a tyre-tread pattern. The rubber lugs of the tyre are higher than spikes, therefore, they are n… Show more

“…Artificial neural network was better than numerical models for predicting soil tillage requirements and draft force; also, its prediction data were very close to field data at ±5% (Gautam et al, 2022). Abrahám et al (2022) explained that reducing the slip ratio between the driving wheels and the soil leads to an increase in the efficiency of using engine power and thus improves the tractive performance of the tractor. Moreover, there are direct relations between draft forces and other variable parameters, such as tillage width, tillage speed, tillage depth, and tool geometry (Varani et al, 2023).…”

“…Computer programs for modelling have been broadly developed. Consequently, researchers have utilised these models to predict the performance of soil bed preparation equipment based on operation circumstances and type of tillage machines (Cviklovič et al, 2021;Abrahám et al, 2022;Dahham et al, 2023). The regression model created by Abbaspour-Gilandeh and Sedghi (2015) based on a fuzzy modeling method produced an R 2 of 0.787%, e of 17.6%, and RMSE of 0.706% for soil pulverisation for disk harrows.…”
