Abstract:Pilonidal disease typically affects the skin and subcutaneous tissue of the upper intergluteal cleft. Prompt recognition of this diagnosis is imperative to facilitate timely treatment of this disease to reduce morbidity and improve health outcomes for patients. Herein, we describe a case of a young patient with pilonidal disease and discuss the optimal management practice for this condition.
