“…During a study aimed at the isolation of bacterial degraders of potato glycoalkaloids, we isolated strain S40 T from a green potato [19]. Based on 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, the strain showed the highest similarity to Serratia plymuthica PRI-2C [18].…”

“…Strain S40 T was isolated in 2018 from potato rhizosphere in Denmark as described by Dichmann et al . [19] and strain PRI-2C, isolated in The Netherlands, 2014, was kindly provided by Prof. P. Garbeva [18]; type strains S. plymuthica LMG 7886 T and Serratia quinivorans LMG 7887 T were from BCCM/LMG, Belgium, and Serratia liquefaciens DSM 4487 T was from DSMZ, Braunschweig, Germany.…”

“…Genomic DNA was purified from liquid cultures grown at 20°C in lysogenic broth (LB) using the Gentra Puregene Yeast/Bact. kit (Qiagen, Germany) as previously described (3). Library preparation for whole-genome sequencing was performed using the Nextera DNA library prep kit (Illumina, Inc., San Diego, CA).…”
