DQ-domain modeling for multi-scale transients in a synchronous machine

Abstract: A dq0-domain synchronous machine model that is aimed at accurate and efficient simulation of electromagnetic and electromechanical transients in power electric networks is developed. The electromagnetic part of the machine model is derived firstly in the dq0 reference frame. Then, imaginary parts for the dq quantities are constructed to ensure the compatibility with external multi-scale network model.
