“…The numerous Middle Bronze Age artefacts recovered from tin streamworks in Cornwall provide evidence for prehistoric exploitation (Penhallurick, 1986: 173-224), and this has recently been confirmed by a date of 1620-1497 cal BC (3269 ± 27 BP, OxA-36336 at 93.9% confidence) obtained for an antler pick from the Carnon valley near Truro (Timberlake & Hartgroves, 2018).
