Abstract:This paper presents a new method of doubletalk protection in Acoustic echo cancellation [AEC), named weighted-sum normalization. The weighted-sum method replaces the normalization term of the traditional NLMS algorithm by the sum of the weighted power of residue echo signal and the power of the reference signal. Emulation results on AEC have shown that this method can stabilize the adaptive filter in the case of the large fluctuation of the near-end signal, such as in double-talk situation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
