Dos especies nuevas del género Drosophila y el registro de Parascaptomyza clavifera en la provincia del Carchi, Ecuador

Abstract: En estudios realizados en los bosques andinos y páramos de la provincia del Carchi se descubrieron tres especies nuevas del género Drosophila, fueron capturadas sobre los 3260 m de altitud. Para las capturas se usaron trampas fabricadas con botellas de plástico perforadas conteniendo pedazos de banana fermentada con levadura. Las especies nuevas son: D. carchensis sp. nov., D. cuasmali sp. nov. y D. quillasinga sp. nov.
