et al.

Abstract: AimTo assess the Doppler ultrasonographic tissue perfusion at dental implant sites augmented with connective tissue graft (CTG) using coronally advanced flap (CAF) or tunnel technique (TUN).Materials and MethodsTwenty‐eight patients presenting with isolated healthy peri‐implant soft‐tissue dehiscence (PSTD) were included in this randomized clinical trial. PSTDs were treated with either CAF + CTG or TUN + CTG. Ultrasound scans were taken at baseline, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months and 12 months. Tissue perfusion at … Show more

“…Besides a case report (Lee et al, 2018), two studies used ultrasound scanners with intra-oral probes to detect and measure the course of the GPA, reporting mean distances between the artery path and the corresponding teeth of 15.1 mm (posterior molars) to 12.7 mm (anterior premolar or canine) (Lee et al, 2022;Sampietro-Martínez et al, 2022). Moreover, DUS has been described as a useful means in diagnosing periodontal and peri-implant tissue structures, pathological alterations and guided palatal nerve blocks (Barootchi et al, 2020;Marotti et al, 2013;Rodriguez Betancourt et al, 2023;Sahar Hafeez et al, 2014;Salmon & Le Denmat, 2012;Tavelli et al, 2021;Tavelli, Kripfgans, et al, 2023).…”
