Doping Sr and Introducing Oxygen Vacancies in Ba0.7Sr0.3TiO3‐X Synergistically Promote the Pyro‐Photo‐Electric Catalysis Performance

Abstract: The low utilization of light and the severe recombination of charge carriers have always restricted the development of photoelectric catalysis. In this work, the photoelectric catalytic performance is tuned by doping Sr in BaTiO 3 pyroelectric material and simultaneously introducing oxygen vacancies to form double-type defects, combined with pyroelectric polarization. Under the light and 20-50 °C cold-heat cycle, the current density of Ba 0.7 Sr 0.3 TiO 3-X reaches the maximum of 0.92 mA • cm À 2 , which is hi… Show more

“…The performance in this work is superior to previous work. [60][61][62][63] With the above discussion, we explain the principle of the pyroelectric effect of composite electrodes and the efficient internal-external carrier transport channels constructed by the surface modication layer from the perspective of a single crystal cell. As shown in Fig.…”

“…Recently, the use of strontium ions to occupy the A-site ions of BaTiO 3 to form Ba 1−x Sr x TiO 3 (BST) photocatalysts can be widely used in the photocatalytic decomposition of water to produce hydrogen and dye degradation. [25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32] However, no researchers have yet regulated the phase structure, morphology and photocatalytic activity of BST photocatalysts for photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline hydrochloride (TC-HCl) under simulated sunlight irradiation by adjusting the content of strontium ions. The polyacrylamide gel method is an effective method to synthesize ion-doped semiconductor photocatalysts, but it has not been used to synthesize BST photocatalysts.…”
