Abstract. CuCr2OT.2H20, monoclinic, P21/n, a = 13.27 (3), b = 7-614 (3), c = 7.445 (3) A, fl= 105.77 (5) °, D x = 2.94 Mg m -a, Z = 4. The crystal structure has been solved using 3305 independent reflexions. The final R value for the 2533 highest-intensity reflexions is 0.023. CuO 6 octahedra (two O atoms from water molecules, and four from four different Cr20 2-anions) ensure the cohesion of the structure.
