Abstract

Blue Homeland doctrine, why this doctrine put forth and final progress' in Blue Homeland has been examined in this academic study.More specifically Eastern Mediterrannean, which is a ground of dispute in terms of exploitation, issue and final steps Türkiye took in recent years has been studied. It has been highlighted that Türkiye will never accept unfair and baseless maps or agreements dictated to herself. There are rich petroleum and natural gas resources in Eastern Mediterranean. As all the counries in the region seeking ways to act suiting for their profits, there is a dispute in the region. In the basin of the Eastern Mediterranean, there are natural gas resources large enough to meet Türkiye's natural gas needs for more than 500 years. There is an ongoing disagreement among countries in the region when it comes to the subjects like extradiction and trasportation of these resources. Likewise there is a dipute among the countries in the region about maritime borders. Some coutries including Türkiye, has political strains with neighbouring countries. Because of these political strains it is hard to find a common ground between neighboring countries. These political strains can only be wiped out through dialoge and diplomacy. Countries in Eastern Mediterranean region should prioritize diplomacy and overcome these existing problems.
