“…However, we believe that the issues surrounding D & I are broader than I–O psychology and require input from experts in multiple disciplines. Although Industrial and Organizational Psychology ( IOP ) has published five focal articles (Ferdman & Sagiv, ; Hays‐Thomas & Bendick, ; King & Cortina, ; Landy, ; Ruggs et al, ) and 41 commentaries on D & I topics and I–O psychologists have published work in other outlets including The Industrial–Organizational Psychologist (e.g., Avery, ) and peer‐reviewed journals, we are struck by the lack of a consideration of an interdisciplinary approach to D & I topics.
