Does Intracranial Pressure Influence the Development of Glaucoma?

Abstract: Optic nerve damage can result from changes in both intraocular and intracranial pressure (ICP). Both are believed to cause damage to the optic nerve due to a change in the pressure gradient across the lamina for both. Recently, some investigators have proposed that ICP may directly contribute to the development and progression of glaucoma. Two authors debate this topic.
