Does Inbound Tourism Encourage Trade Deficit in Sri Lanka?

Abstract: This study is one of very few studies which have investigated whether inbound tourism progression encourages imports of goods and services and then contributes to trade deficit as the relationship between trade and tourism become debatable. This study found that inbound tourism causes imports of goods and services in case of Sri Lanka.
