Abstract:BackgroundFetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FNAIT) ensues from parental incompatibility for platelet alloantigens with maternal sensitization. HPA‐1a/1b incompatibility is the most common cause of FNAIT in Caucasians.
