Uso de servicios de atención psicológica en jóvenes del sistema de protección y justicia juvenil: Un estudio exploratorio

“…Un grupo particularmente vulnerable que no siempre ha recibido la suficiente atención son aquellos jóvenes que se encuentran bajo la tutela del Estado. La incidencia de problemas de salud mental en esta población es muy elevada y así se ha constatado ampliamente en la literatura científica (Burke et al, 2015;Garcia et al, 2022;González-García et al, 2017). Un ejemplo es el reciente metanálisis de Beaudry et al (2020) que incluyó 47 estudios de 19 países, con una muestra total de 28.033 hombres y 4.754 mujeres (edad 10-19 años) en justicia juvenil, obteniendo como resultado que los hombres jóvenes presentaron mayor prevalencia de depresión (1 de cada 10) y de trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad (TDAH) (1 de cada 5), y entre las adolescentes mujeres, aproximadamente 1 de cada 4 tuvo depresión y 1 de cada 5 tuvo trastorno de estrés postraumático.…”
