DLITE: The Discounted Least Information Theory of Entropy

Abstract: We propose an entropy-based information measure, namely the Discounted Least Information Theory of Entropy (DLITE), which not only exhibits important characteristics expected as an information measure but also satisfies conditions of a metric.
