Division Xii / Commission 14 / Working Group Collision Processes

Abstract: Research in atomic and molecular collision processes and spectral line broadening has been very active since our last report, Peach, Dimitrijević & Stancil 2009. Given the large volume of the published literature and the limited space available, we have attempted to identify work most relevant to astrophysics. Since our report can not be comprehensive, additional publications can be found in the databases at the web addresses listed in the final section. Elastic and inelastic collisions among electrons, atoms,… Show more

“…Comprehensive and up-to-date reviews on electron scattering data have been triennially realised by the IAU Division XII, Commission 14 working group: Atomic collisions (Peach et al, 2009;Peach & Dimitrijević, 2012;Peach et al, 2015). Data covered by BEAMDB for triatomic molecules include H 2 O, H 2 S and N 2 O.…”

“…Since our last report (Peach & Dimitrijević 2012), a large number of new publications on the results of research in atomic and molecular collision processes and spectral line broadening have been published. Due to the limited space available, we have only included work of importance for astrophysics.…”

“…The most recent compilations appear in the accompanying set of Commission 14 WG Triennial Reports, which were produced by members of the WGs and the OC (Federman et al 2015;Nave et al 2015;Peach et al 2015;Vidali et al 2015). Triennial Reports for the past triennia, starting from 2000-2003, were published in Transactions IAU (Smith 2003;Johansson et al 2007;Federman et al 2009;Wahlgren et al 2012;Federman et al 2012;Nave et al 2012;Peach & Dimitrijevic 2012;Vidali 2012).…”
