Abstract:For rigid multibody systems with redundant constraints, mathematical modeling and physical interpretation of the obtained results are impeded due to the nonuniqueness of the calculated reactions, which—in the case of load-dependent joint friction—may additionally lead to unrealistic simulated motion.
