Diverse Dynamical Response to Orographic Gravity Wave Drag Hotspots—A Zonal Mean Perspective

Abstract: In the extratropical atmosphere, Rossby waves (RWs) and internal gravity waves (GWs) propagating from the troposphere mediate a coupling with the middle atmosphere by influencing the dynamics therein.
