“…Kang et al (), using denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE), found that the endophytic bacterial community differed in pepper plants ( Capsicum annuum ) when cultivated in different soils collected from different geographic locations in Korea, with the proportion of antagonistic bacterial isolates identified also varying in plant samples from the different soils. Also using DGGE, Patel and Archana () demonstrated culturable endophytic diazotrophic communities were similar in different plant tissues (leaf, stem and root) of cereal plants ( Poaceae ), which revealed their diverse but nonspecific colonization in cereal plants. Apple endophyte community was found to be associated with cultivar and cultivar‐rootstock combinations by Illumina‐based next‐generation sequencing, and cultivars with closer pedigree had more similar microbial communities than those with distantly related pedigrees (Liu et al ).…”

“…and Bacillus sp.) (Patel and Archana 2017). For agricultural purposes, the positive synergism shown by PAB consortia on stresschallenged plants, when compared with single bacteria inoculations, may be most promising for increasing crop fitness (Chinnaswamy et al 2018;Hajnal-Jafari et al 2018).…”
