“…Although Jackson (1957) has reported the development of psychoses in patients suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis who have received comparable dosage of isoniazid, Pegum (1952) has described a nicotinic‐like effect of burning feet and Krainin and Ney (1955) have seen disturbances of micturition, all the lupus patients whom I have treated with isoniazid have been free of serious side‐effects. Some 10 per cent of the patients did complain of mild transient side‐effects such as nausea, dyspepsia, constipation, fatigue, headache and giddiness, but these all subsided without the drug having to be stopped.…”
