Distribution of permethrin on laminated bamboo after the preservative treatment using SC-CO2 as a carrier solvent

Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the presence of the insecticide permethrin and its retention gradients within the structure of laminated bamboo after treatment using supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) as the carrier solvent. the presence of permetrin was based on functional group differences indicated by FT-IR analyses before and after the preservative treatment. Permethrin retentions in the treated bamboo materials ranged from 0.0020 to 0.0022%. This result indicated that the preservative treatment o… Show more

“…FTIR spectra of NPER had sharp characteristic peaks of nanopermethrin C O stretching vibration of carbonyl groups at 1724 cm −1 , asymmetric stretching of C–O–C at 1283 cm −1 , C–Cl stretch at 816 cm −1 and C–H bend at 690 cm −1 , 42 and similar significant permethrin peaks are reported in ref. 43 . In the complex, significant peaks have exhibited some shift in the (C–H) bend at 670 cm −1 , at 810 cm −1 (C–Cl stretch), asymmetric stretching of C–O–C at 1283 cm −1 and C O groups at 1214 cm −1 The results demonstrate that NPER interacts with PSNPs in Milli-Q water and sea water and the adsorption of the complex shown the major nanopermethrin peak on the surface of the PSNPs and a peak shift is demonstrated as shown in Fig.…”
