Abstract: Ticks and tick-borne diseases are an important public health problem worldwide. In India, prevalence of many tick-borne pathogens such as Ganjam virus, Kyasanur forest disease virus (KFDV), Crimean Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) virus and Rickettsia conorii etc., have been documented.
