“…Research material consisted of 45 maize (Zea mays L.) inbreds with perspective for maize breeding developed at the State Enterprise the Institute of Grain Crops of NAAS of Ukraine, city Dnipro (with the index DK) and three (MS252, MS381, and PHT60), by the private breeding company, the Scientifi c and Production Farming Enterprise "Company Mais" (Dnipropetrovsk region). The inbreds used by us represent common types The inbreds under investigation were divided into two groups by the allelic state of the β-carotene hydroxylase 1 gene according to the results of our previous research (Satarova et al, 2023b).
