Abstract:The results of a biostratigraphic and sedimentological study of the Upper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous limestones cropping out in the southern sector of the Vâlcan Mountains in Romania are presented, including the definition of microfacies types, fossil assemblages and environmental interpretation. Six microfacies types (MFT 1-MFT 6) have been identified, each of them pointing to a specific depositional environment. The deposits are characteristic of a shallow carbonate platform. They contain normal marine or restricted marine facies deposited in low or high energy environments from the inner, middle and outer platform. The age attribution of these deposits (Late Jurassic to Berriasian-Valanginian-?Hauterivian, and Barremian) is based on foraminiferal and calcareous algae associations. The micropaleontological assemblage is exceptionally rich in the Vâlcan Mountains and brings new arguments for dating the Upper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous limestones in this area.

te ´le ´de ´tection hyperspectrale constitue aujourd'hui, a `travers la spectrome ´trie du terrain, un outil puissant pour la discrimination et l'identification pre ´cise et rapide des surfaces mine ´rales. L'objectif de ce travail est l'identification spectrale des facie `s carbonate ´s dans le Haut Atlas atlantique marocain, afin de mettre en place une librairie spectrale re ´gionale pre ´paratoire a `la re ´alisation de cartes re ´gionales a `haute re ´solution spatiale. Les spectres acquis dans le visible-Infrarouge (0,4-2,5 mm) ont e ´te ´utilise ´s pour la caracte ´risation et le suivi de l'e ´volution de l'e ´tat diage ´ne ´tique des dolomies du Lias infe ´rieur de la coupe d'Arigh Ouzla, dans l'anticlinal du Jbel Amsitte `ne. La se ´paration des facie `s et la prise en compte de la diversite ´des phe ´nome `nes d'alte ´ration ont impose ´la normalisation de retrait des effets superficiels de dissolution et la restriction de la fene ˆtre spectrale pour e ´viter la superposition d'information. Les bandes d'absorption caracte ´ristiques varient entre 2,319 et 2,323 mm et ne changent pas entre surfaces de dissolution et cassures fraı ˆches. Ces valeurs refle `tent le caracte `re totalement dolomitique des facie `s et permettent d'estimer le degre ´de diagene `se, d'ou `des pre ´cisions par rapport aux descriptions pe ´trographiques et se ´dimentologiques pre ´ce ´dentes.
