Abstract:Traditional decision-making models conceptualize humans as optimal learners aiming to maximize outcomes by leveraging reward prediction errors (PE). While violated emotional expectations(emotional PEs) have recently been formalized, the underlying neurofunctional basis and whether it differs from reward PEs remain unclear.
