“…We were interested to see if this remained true in light of the greater discussion of theory and evidence-based interventions, and to further explore how providers use behavioral data in their selection of interventions. This narrow focus complements discussions of technology transfer as it relates to the adoption of successful, science-based prevention interventions that emphasize implementation issues such as the cost of the innovations to be adopted, interactions between researchers and providers, organizational characteristics such as culture, and perceived fit between a populations' need and the intervention (e.g., Kelley et al, 2000;Mayer and Davidson, 2000;Miller, 2001).
