Abstract:Background and objectives: Disseminated carcinomatosis of bone marrow (DCBM) occurs mostly in stomach cancer patients; however, characterizing tumor cells morphologically and phenotypically in the bone marrow is not an easy task. In addition, among patients with DCBM, an unknown primary site (CUPS) is rarely noted despite standard clinical evaluation, imaging studies, and endoscopic findings.
