Abstract: Dissecting cellulitis (DC), also called folliculitis abscedens or perifolliculitis capitis abscedens et suffodiens, is an inflammatory, chronic, and recurrent disease of the hair follicle. Pathophysiology of DC remains unclear, but some authors suggest an important role of the neutrophils and the inflammatory via interlekin-1.
