There have been non-cardiac surgical aetiologies described in the literature, including myocardial infarction, percutaneous coronary intervention 11 ], radiofrequency ablation, 12 infective endocarditis, 20 and blunt cardiac trauma 21, 22. LA dissection due to radiofrequency ablation may be caused by creation of an endocardial flap of the LA wall due to a stiff wire manipulation.…”
