Different petroleum operations produce huge amount of oil sludge annually. For instance, US EPA estimates the annual sludge production of each US refinery of 30,000 tons, while the average oily sludge produced from petrochemical industries in China is estimated about 3 million tons per year. In the last year, our center could recover about 30,206 barrels of raw oil from 32,786 barrels of tank bottom sludge (TBS) for different petroleum companies. This sludge causes huge economic losses besides its negative environmental impacts. The accumulation of sludge in the tanks results in reducing the tanks’ capacity for storing liquid crude, accelerating the corrosion of the tanks, delay in the production schedule, and disturbing the whole production operation. There are diverse treatment methodologies such as solvent treatment, addition of certain chemicals, and centrifuging. Of course, the environmental regulations and the overall cost limitations are very important in deciding the preferred applicable method(s). Although several works handled the problem of sludge deposition and treatment from different aspects, we intend to introduce a different work. First, composition, formation, types, and properties of TBS were reviewed. Then, environmental and economic problems caused by TBS were revised. At last, different methodologies applied for treatment of oily TBS to recover oil and safe disposal of hazardous remains were investigated focusing on the most straightforward and environmentally friendly protocols. It is expected that this review attracts the experts in petroleum chemistry, and other relevant fields and provides a comprehensive understanding of current sludge control and treatment research. In recent years, the e-commerce industry has been developing rapidly, and at the same time, the quality level of e-commerce industry development is limited by the level of supply chain technology development. As a result, the development of supply chain technology has become the core of the driving force for various enterprises to pursue development. This paper analyses the supply chain status quo of e-commerce industry, finds the problems of excess inventory leading to backlogs, high loss rate of goods leading to waste of resources, and negative impacts caused by failure to deliver on time, and proposes the establishment of perfect supply chain management norms, the establishment of incentives, and the establishment of a research department; the use of cold chain transport, multi-modal transport, the use of automated systems, the establishment of inventory systems, the upgrading of technology, the enhancement of training, regular inspection and maintenance of equipment; the enhancement of management and management of equipment. Regular inspection and maintenance of equipment; strengthening management, improving risk control, establishing a supply network, optimizing routes, and improving service quality are some of the solutions.

The environmentally friendly degradation of and energy recovery from oily sludge is a common concern in both research and industry. In this study, industrial oily sludge was collected after wastewater treatment by oil storage corporations. First, the physical and chemical properties of the samples were observed. Then, samples were analyzed using thermogravimetry-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry under air atmosphere and under nitrogen atmosphere. The characteristics of the residue after thermal decomposition were determined through Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive spectrometry. The results revealed that the thermal degradation of oily sludge is divided into three steps under nitrogen atmosphere but four steps under air atmosphere. Moreover, thermal decomposition was mainly exothermic under nitrogen atmosphere but endothermic under air atmosphere. The mass loss of oily sludge was greater under air atmosphere. The final residue was 26.6% under an air atmosphere, which was lower than the 35.8% observed under nitrogen atmosphere. The gaseous products of oily sludge included gaseous fuels under nitrogen atmosphere but were only combustion products under air atmosphere. In both atmospheres, the solid products remaining in the residue were the metallic elements Fe, Al, Mg, Na, and Ca, which can be reused in desulfurization applications.
