“…Since its original description by Marshall & Muizon (1988), pediomyid affinities were suggested for this taxon from the lower Paleocene of Tiupampa, Bolivia (see also Muizon, 1992). Oliveira & Goin (2012) and Goin et al (2016) included Khasia within the Pediomyidae, basically acknowledging that several of its most distinctive features match the basic pediomyoid derived features (sensu Davis, 2007). The phylogenetic analysis of our study supports Khasia as a pediomyid.…”
