Problems that often occur in malnutrition in toddlers are susceptibility to disease and delays in their development. The purpose of this study was to observe the development of children under five with malnutrition. This study uses a case study description method with multiple cases. The cases taken were multiple cases with purposive sampling, with a total of 9 children under five as subjects. Data were collected through interviews, anthropometric measurements, developmental screening, and a healthy home assessment. We use descriptive analysis and pattern-matching analysis. We have a Result that seven toddlers experiencing suspected in delay development. Characteristics of the parents of 9 subjects are the subject has complete parents and living at the same home. Mothers as domestic workers. the Majority of fathers work as private workers, with unhealthy housing conditions. Characteristics of toddlers are five toddlers born with LBW, one born prematurely. Down syndrome, have a history of severe icterus, nutritional disturbances, persistent diarrhea, children completing Tuberculosis treatment, a history of epilepsy, and the other with a fever cold cough. Our Conclusions: other causes of developmental delays are due to malnourished toddlers being susceptible to disease, and low birth weight.

Η ανίχνευση της αναπτυξιακής γλωσσικής διαταραχής αποτελεί αναγνωρισμένη αναγκαιότητα, καθώς είναι το πρώτο βήμα για τον εντοπισμό πιθανής γλωσσικής υπολειτουργικότητας, με απώτερο στόχο το σχεδιασμό και την εφαρμογή μιας πρώιμης παρέμβασης. Στην ελληνική γλώσσα έχουν κατασκευαστεί και σταθμιστεί ελάχιστες ανιχνευτικές κλίμακες γλωσσικών δυσκολιών για την προσχολική ηλικία. Η Ανιχνευτική Κλίμακα Γλωσσικής Ανάπτυξης (ΑΚΓΑ) σχεδιάστηκε λαμβάνοντας υπόψη την πρόσφατη βιβλιογραφία και έρευνα που σχετίζεται με κλινικούς δείκτες και προγνωστικούς παράγοντες της αναπτυξιακής γλωσσικής διαταραχής κατά την προσχολική ηλικία. Στην παρούσα μελέτη εξετάστηκε η αξιοπιστία και η δομική εγκυρότητα της κλίμακας με τη χρήση επιβεβαιωτικών δομικών μοντέλων σε δείγμα 476 παιδιών ηλικίας 3:6-4:6 ετών (Νκοριτσιών=258) το οποίο λήφθηκε με αναλογική στρωματοποιημένη τυχαία δειγματοληψία. Η ανάλυση έδειξε ότι το αμφιπαραγοντικό μοντέλο εξηγεί ικανοποιητικά τα δεδομένα. Μελετήθηκε ακόμη η εσωτερική συνοχή των στοιχείων της κλίμακας με τη χρήση του δείκτη ωμέγα (omega). Για να τεκμηριωθεί η συγχρονική, η συγκλίνουσα και η αποκλίνουσα εγκυρότητα της ΑΚΓΑ χορηγήθηκαν έξι επιπλέον ψυχομετρικά εργαλεία σε ένα επιπρόσθετο δείγμα 44 παιδιών. Τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν ότι η ΑΚΓΑ αποτελεί ένα έγκυρο και αξιόπιστο ανιχνευτικό εργαλείο για τον εντοπισμό των παιδιών προσχολικής ηλικίας που βρίσκονται σε κίνδυνο να εμφανίσουν αναπτυξιακή γλωσσική διαταραχή.

Objective: Developmental delay refers to the child who attain milestones in a slower time as compared to normal. Compromised grip strength is one of the common issue in these children which restricts them to perform their daily tasks while improvement in body functions, position of elbow and muscle strength can improve the manual dexterity, grip strength and fine motor skills which will help them to perform the daily activities of life. So the study aimed to determine the effects of Powerball on grip strength in children with developmental delay. Methods: Twenty six children with age 7 to 12 years with developmental delay assigned into two groups. Group A received isometric hand grip training exercises while group B received Powerball exercises along with isometrics. 3 sessions per week and total 12 sessions were given and evaluation of grip strength was measured by using hand held dynamometer and ABIL-HAND kids tool. Results: The mean age of children was 10.08 ± 1.49 years while 23.1% (6) children were of age 9 and 12 years each, while there were 61.5% (16) boys and 38.5% (10) girls.
