Disinformation ‘Gatecrashes’ Tourism: An Empirical Study

Abstract: Disinformation poses a formidable threat to the tourism industry, but empirical studies remain limited. Recognizing this escalating crisis, this study undertakes a theoretically grounded cross-country investigation of political disinformation and its crippling consequences on the travel and tourism sector.
