Abstract: (Ustilago tritici). The usual situation appeared to exist as far as this disease was concerned, the loss for the country'' being about average which is slightly ove;-one per cent. Notable exceptions were Missouri, North Dakota and Kansas. In Missouri it was said to have been one of the worst years for loose sraut , the estimated losses averaging 4 P^^c ent.
