“…Over the past 20 years, the PEDI has been widely used in both clinical practice and research (Berg et al, 2008;Berg, Fräslie, & Hussain, 2003;Chen et al, 2009;Chen et al, 2010;Custers, Hoijtink, van der Net, & Helders, 2000;Custers, Wassenberg-Severijnen, Hoijtink, Vermeer, & Helders, 2003;Erkin et al, 2007;Gannotti & Cruz, 2001;Groleger, Vidmar, & Zupan, 2005;Mancini, 2005;Nordmark, Orban, Hägglund, & Jarnlo, 1999;Stahlhut et al, 2010;Stahlhut, Gard, Aadahl, & Christensen, 2011).…”

“…An assessment tool for Africa must take into account whether children are living in urban or rural areas as well as their socio‐economic circumstances. The PEDI was earlier adapted and validated for several non‐American cultures (Al‐Khudair & Al‐Eisa, ; Berg, Aamodt, Stanghelle, Krumlinde‐Sundholm, & Hussain, ; Chen, Hsieh, Sheu, Hu, & Tseng, ; Erkin, Elhan, Aybay, Sirzai, & Ozel, ; Stahlhut, Gard, Aadahl, & Christensen, ); however, there is no published version adapted to any African country. Our purpose was accordingly to develop a version of PEDI culturally relevant to Uganda.…”

A Danish version will be applied as a parental questionnaire: The content and discriminative validity have been established in children with CP [ 39 , 40 ].…”
