Discriminación interseccional y criminalización de senegaleses en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (2016-2019)

Abstract

This research is an analysis of Senegalese migration in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The interest of this study is particularly the exercise of the rights of this group of migrants, based on the different changes in State policy with the assumption of Alianza Cambiemos.However, the elements prior to 2016 are taken into account in relation to migration, the city's security forces and structural racism, that allow us to understand the process until the current situation.As part of the results of this thesis, the intersection of different discriminations towards the senegalese collective is presented and how they operate in the construction of a criminal "they" that functions as a justification for state violence. On the other hand, the use of national laws and municipal regulations as forms of control towards racialized and poorer migrants is analyzed. Finally, the connection between national, municipal and multinational states in relation to violence against senegalese is evident.The methodological approach with which this text was constructed was action research. That is to say, not only were the data processed, systematized and analyzed, but in their development, i actively participated in the defense of the rights of senegalese migrants. The pretention of the result of it is the impact on a reality that is hostile to this group.
