Abstract:We revisit the dimensionally deconstructed scalar quantum electrodynamics (QED) and consider the (Euclidean) propagator of the scalar field in the model. Although we have previously investigated the one-loop effect in this model by obtaining the usual heat kernel trace, we adopt discrete proper-time heat kernels in this paper and aim to construct the modified propagator, which has improved behaviors in the ultraviolet region, by changing the range of sum of the discrete heat kernels.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
